AI Agent That Generates 300,000+ Stories for Kids

They wanted to launch a cross-platform app where every child receives personalised AI-generated stories, built from scratch, in a matter of weeks, without assembling an in-house mobile team.

Background

StoryWonder is a mobile app for children that generates personalised, audio-illustrated stories using AI. Founded by Rolf Kosakowski, also owner of KB&B Family Marketing, a marketing agency for the kids segment, it targets European families and counts Playmobil among its strategic partners for cross-brand integrations.

The concept is simple and powerful: the parent (or child together with the parent) chooses the main character, setting, theme, and story length. The AI agent then generates an original, narrated, and illustrated story, fully personalised, in real time.

The Real Problem

Rolf had the product vision and the go-to-market plan. What he needed was a mobile team to bring it to life, and fast. Building an in-house team meant:

  • Hiring senior mobile developers (2–3 months of recruiting)
  • Choosing a stack (iOS native, Android native, React Native, Flutter)
  • Building CI/CD pipelines for two app stores
  • Integrating auth, storage, payments, and push notifications
  • Building the backbone of the AI story-generation agent
  • Managing Apple/Google submission and review cycles

Meanwhile, the kids EdTech market moves quickly: every month of delay is ground lost to American competitors already live.

What the AI Agent Did

Soraia took StoryWonder from zero to both app stores in 4 weeks, with the following architecture:

  1. Native cross-platform app in FlutterFlow covering iOS + Android from a single codebase
  2. AI story-generation agent embedded in the app: takes character, setting, theme, child’s age, and desired length as inputs; generates text + a coherent image sequence + audio narration
  3. Coin/payment system: children “spend” coins to generate a story; parents purchase coins via Stripe in-app
  4. Firebase backend for auth, family profiles, generated story library, and push notifications
  5. Direct release on the Apple App Store and Google Play, including review cycle management and a hotfix pipeline

The agent’s prompt engineering is the most critical layer: ensuring stories are age-appropriate, narratively coherent, available in multiple languages, and bound by strict limits on sensitive content. Soraia built a pre/post-generation filter system that blocks unsuitable content before it ever reaches the child.

Results

Live on the Apple App Store and Google Play in 4 weeks from kick-off.

50,000+ registered users (growing, figure as of end of 2025).

300,000+ stories generated by the AI agent since launch, every story unique, never seen before.

Lighthouse project for Playmobil: the StoryWonder + Playmobil integration became the blueprint for future brand → kids content partnerships.
